Fordstrokers 408 DIY Shortblock. We have come up with a way were you get to actually build your shortblock while saving some money, making it a win-win situation. Are you the type of guy who likes to get his hands dirty and build his own motors? Want to save some money at the same time as well? Then this is perfect for you. It's quite simple, we are basically offering our Liberator short blocks unassembled, you put them together and reap the rewards of self fulfillment and accomplishment. Here's what is done and included below
- Fully Machined F4TE 351 Roller Block
- Bored
- Torque Plate Honed 4.030
- Deck Surfaced (MLS Hed Gasket Compatible Finish)
- Align Honed Main Journals
- Screw In Oil Galley Plugs
- Freeze Plugs Installed
- Cam Bearings Installed
- Stroker Notched
- Painted ANY Color You Wish
- Scat Cast Steel 4.00 inch Stroke Crankshaft
- Scat Forged Steel 6.200 or 6.250 I-Beam Connecting Rods
- Probe SRS 2618 Forged Pistons, Flat Top or Dish You choose your option at checkout
- Internally Balanced
- Clevite77 Main Bearings
- Clevite77 Rod Bearings
- Clevite77 Cam Bearings
- ARP Main Studs with oil pump pickup provision
- Perfect Circle Moly File Fit Piston Rings
- Fel Pro Rear Main Seal
- Flat Top pistons will yield 12.5:1 and the 22cc dish will yield 10.5:1 using a 58cc head and .041 head gasket.
- Dish pistons can be substituted for no additional charge and will lower the compression ratio for boosted applications

The blocks will be fully machined and ready for assembly, cam bearings installed, screw in oil galley plugs installed, freeze plugs installed and painted any color of your choice. The rotating assembly is balanced to 28oz, within .05 grams. This a great way to have fun and experience building your own engine.
