Small block ford cylinder head by Trick Flow Specialties. All of our heads are custom, meaning you can not buy these heads in this configuration from Trick Flow, Summit Racing or any other Trick Flow dealer. All Trick Flow heads originate from Total Engine Airflow, where we have worked together to come up with a custom valve train that can not be bought anywhere else on Trick flow cylinder heads.

The differences between our TEA / Fordstrokers cylinder heads is in the valve springs, valve locks, retainers and seals.

When you purchase a set of trick flow heads from any trick flow dealer, summit racing or trick flow themselves, they come with a standard 1.460 or 1.470 hydraulic roller spring. While this is ok, spring technology has come light years in the last 5 years and there are much better valve spring options today. Fordstrokers prepped trick flow heads such as the twisted wedge heads, of all sizes come standard with the following.

  • Comp Cams 1.250 Machined Steel Retainers
  • PAC 1.300" Dual Valve Springs, 140lbs seat, 400lbs open, .650 lift capable, 1.070 coil bind
  • Stefs Machined Steel .505 1.300 Spring cups
  • Crower 7* +.050 11/32 valve locks
  • .496 x .341 Viton Valve Seals
  • 1.800 Install Height

The above valvetrain is capable to handle nearly any hyd roller camshaft thrown at it. We also have upgrades available, such as stronger springs, titanium retainer.

If you are price shopping, keep in mind the valvetrain you will get on your trick flow heads elsewhere will be signifigantly different than ours, this is why our pricing tends to be higher. Quality comes at a price, do it right the first time!

They're the originals-the ones the others have tried to copy. Trick Flow's High Port Street/Strip aluminum cylinder heads not only started the high performance small block Ford head revolution, they became one of the most dominant aftermarket heads in racing.

Even today, you can still find vintage High Port heads on some of the fastest Fords around. And now Trick Flow has made them better! All of the things that made the original heads great are still here: patented valve spacing, raised exhaust ports, extra strong castings and thick decks for additional rigidity and gasket integrity, superior cooling characteristics, and most importantly, excellent airflow. But to make the High Port Street/Strip heads even better, they've been updated with today's cutting edge technology.

The entry into the intake port has been reshaped to help seal the area along the port roof, and thicker port walls were designed to increase strength and provide more material for porting. Plus, interlocking ductile iron seats are used to handle the stresses of high heat, high horsepower applications. Other features include 64cc combustion chambers for more complete combustion, large 192cc intake ports and 87cc exhaust ports that have been raised .750 in. for increased flow.
